Most Expected Cars In 2012

Which cars are the most anticipated vehicles for the 2012 model year? Ask 100 people that question and get different answers from all of them. Forbes Trial has put together a list of the mid-sized family cars that are sure to be hot in 2012.

Chevrolet Malibu

The Chevrolet Malibu ECO, which was originally set to debut for the 2013 model year, is one hot family sedan that is sure to impress. It will debut in the early months of 2012 and is classified as a “mild hybrid” vehicle. Gas mileage is expected to be around 38 miles per gallon. The technology for this vehicle lies in the electric-motor generator.

Toyota Camry

The Toyota Camry is expected to be debuted as a complete redesign as well. Expected upgrades are going to come by way of a more fuel-efficient engine as well as other advancements that allow Toyota’s traditional sedan to keep up with the times.

Fusion

For those that love Ford, the Fusion is expected to come out with a complete redesign. This model was debuted at the Detroit auto show in 2011. The Fusion is expected to have a more sleek design and incorporate the EVOS concept that Ford has come out with. The Hybrid version of the Fusion is expected to get up to 41 mpg in the city. The visual displays inside the new Fusion make it easier for the driver to determine how efficient the vehicle is. Another added feature of the 2012 Fusion is a capless gas tank.

Honda CR-V and Escape

In the SUV/crossover category, the most sought after vehicles are expected to be the new Honda CR-V and the new Escape by Ford. The CR-V is expected to have a more modern design that makes it appear edgy. In addition, the CR-V will see even better fuel economy. This will be the 4th generation of CR-V for Honda.

The new Ford Escape is expected to have three choices of fuel-efficient engines. The smallest of these engines will be the 1.6 liter EcoBoost, which is said to get better gas mileage on the highway than the current models of Escape Hybrid.
